The new book by first-time author Todd Johnson is an awesome legal thriller. An added plus is that it has a great plot and is a clean read. It is so difficult to find interesting novels that are well-written and a clean read. I sure hope Mr. Johnson plans on writing a new book about the new case 'Clay' calls about at the end of this book!

As an avid reader, I'm always looking for new authors that I enjoy reading. I will be looking for more books by this author! The main character finds a deposit slip for $10 million in her father's safe deposit box after his death. With a mixture of suspense, relationship complexities and interesting characters, the book kept me involved until the very end.
Loved your book!!!! Held me captive with the twists and turns throughout. I slowed my reading towards the end because I did not want to finish the book. I hope you are bringing back Jared, Jessie, Sam, Richard Towers & Clay, whom I’m already missing.
Just finished reading your book and really enjoyed it…the characters are alive and exciting…thank you for a wonderful read…can’t wait until we meet again….
I can't wait for Todd Johnson's next book! I really enjoyed The Deposit Slip! The book is well written, has good characters and great character development during the story. I also like that the book is clean. There is gripping action and informative dialogue without constant four letter word slinging. I recommend this book for any of you who enjoy legal mysteries.

This is a compelling legal mystery. I found myself staying up late reading just one more chapter because I needed to find out what would happen next! I think Todd Johnson may be the next up and coming John Grisham type writer. I came to care about each character and was pleased with the summation at the end. This is a very enjoyable read!
Loved the book Looking forward to his future books. I hope he writes many more Could not put it down till I finished it.

The Deposit Slip was a refreshing departure from the historical nonfiction which I normally read. It is a legal thriller that gets and keeps your attention from the first page to the end. In fact, I did not want it to end but continue with Jared's next legal case. I do hope that the author has plans for a sequel to this book; I would really like to read about Jared, Jessie, and Jared's father again. These characters are well developed and the author has a style that is clean(that in itself is a rare trait), interesting, and insightful into the human character as well as the world of law. He could easily become the next Earle Stanley Gardner of Perry Mason fame.
Author kept me intrigued from beginning to end. I had to keep reading to find out what was going on. Reminded me a bit of a Grisham plot. I highly recommend.

I can't believe this is the author's first novel! It was very well-written, and easy to read in spite of all of the legal and banking context of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Not only was it an unveiling of the case involving a mystery $10 million dollar deposit, but also a tale of intrigue, murder, theft, and a journey to forgiveness. Expertly written, this novel moves easily from disbelief to full acceptance of the mysterious deposit. Not the type of novel where you can figure out what will happen next - this author was always several steps ahead of the reader. I would like to read whatever he writes next.
